Choosing an Acupuncturist
When choosing an acupuncturist, please be aware that MD’s and D.O.’s may practice acupuncture in Colorado without any specialized training. Chiropractors must be certified with 100 hours of theory and clinic, plus an affidavit of 25 cases. Today, student’s who receive a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine acquire 3,045 hours (four years) of education and training specific to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

Tanya Rose is the owner of Rose Oriental Medicine. Tanya is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Colorado, and earned a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Tanya was awarded a post-graduate diploma from the University of Beijing for her studies and internship at the famous Tong-Ren Hospital in Beijing, China. Additionally, Tanya is certified in Acutonics, Reiki as a Teacher and Master, and Karuna Reiki as a Master.
